                    CALC  2017 Annual Meeting Minutes

The annual meeting of the Cheyenne Area Landowner’s Coalition was held Thursday,  April 20,  2017 at the Laramie County Library.  County Commissioner, Amber Ash,  made a presentation from 6-6:30 p.m. on the benefits of voting for The Sixth Penny tax on May 2, 2017.

As our President,  Marilyn Ham, was unable to attend the meeting,  Vice President,  Wayne Lax,  called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.   He reported on the training the Equality State Lobbyist training  that he attended as well as the Western State Congress and the Powder River Basin Resource Council.

Elections were held.  The nominated slate was approved by members in attendance.  Myrna Brautigam volunteered to serve as our Treasurer.

Outgoing treasurer, Alex Bowler, gave a treasurer’s report.  Our current balance
Is  $633.53. 

New Business
CALC will rent the Kiwanis Building at Lions Park for our forum on May 17, 2017. PRBRC  is assisting us with the rental cost.  Additionally,  CALC founding member, Paul Cook, is picking up 25% of the cost for this panel discussion.

Vice President, Wayne Lax, gave an excellent power point presentation on the accomplishments and activities of CALC for 2016. Casey Quinn was the author of this presentation.  A copy of the presentation  has been included with the minutes. 

The meeting was well attended by CALC members and residents who are being affected by the recent drilling activity north and east of Cheyenne.

The meeting was adjourned at  8 p.m.
